I am feeling sooo impatient at the moment! The last of the Nottingham rescue pigs (the Roan/Dalmation) one pictured in the Breeds section is soo huge that I've had to put another igloo in her house for her because her belly couldn't get the door of the first one!

I'm not only impatient for new babies in the house - goes without saying - but to know what permanant desicions I need to make. Such as who will be in what 'herd' and such like. The boy girl ratio etc. As is stands the first sow from the same place had 2 sows which for me & I suppose them was lucky. I did decide that I will keep any babies that were born from the two poor guinea pigs - having sows makes it easier on the old wallet because of no neutering needed. Also beacuse of her having sows I will need lees individual cages waiting for an appropriate age to have them neutered.

Maggie - as she has now been nicknamed (MagPie) is just growing in girth not body frame anymore - the babies need to come out yesterday!
Also its difficult knowing when something is 'up' because of not knowing any dates etc
I did try to get Maggie back in with Pudding but Pudding wasn't having any of it! - I didn't even persue the matter as it wasn't fair on poor little Maggie - & also Pudding just didn't want anyone near her babies.

Humph :-\

Sorry - I sound like my mum!
Everything expecting babies -even me when I was preggers- according to my mum hatches!

I know the feeling marley is expanding daily, they look like they will pop dont they and having had kids myself i always feel so sorry for them ;) as they say a watching kettle never boils maybe a hatching pig never hatches lol

They are adorable piggies! I've started saying pop. Like 'oh my gosh! Cherry popped!' lol, my mom got me started on that :D
