So after a lot of reshuffling to fit in another cage I'm finally getting the boys tomorrow :). Not sure if you remember my post about wanting to adopt another two piggies from my local rescue (one with spinal damage due to being dropped) but couldn't figure out where I could put them! Well after a bit of reshuffling I found some space :).
I'm making them a white wooden cage with a Perspex front as I need the cage to be raised so I can store stuff underneath, plus I think they are really pretty :), but temporarily (hopefully only a week or two as I really need the storage space under the cage) they have a 2x4 c&c cage. Soooo excited for tomorrow :) :) :) X

Gorgeous pigs and I am totally loving those strawberry hideys!

The price is amazing however I have easily passed the "treat budget" this month what with some other piggy things and the 35 smackaroos for the adoption of the nameless one. He is neutered so more than worth his fee...even if it was double that he'd be more than worth it!

I know what you mean! Lol. I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting 'the nameless one' yet! Lol x

Thanks for the heads up on these strawberry houses. I've just ordered a couple, too.

The big day is here :) collecting them at 3.30pm so can't wait! A little nervous about the whole impaction thing. Due to Guiness dragging his back legs for so long before he was given pain relief his bum muscles don't work great so he needs a little help getting his poops out. Not sure how good I'll be at that! :(. Anyone any tips? X

If you open a thread in the health and illness section I am sure you will get plenty of help and support from the forum gurus on impaction.

Unfortunately no tips but wishing all three of you good luck, looking forward to seeing some pictures, and thanks for the link the strawberry houses, think I might have to get some myself

waiting in anticipation to hear how the pickup went!

They're beautiful! They look like they have a lovely home.

Edit: Just had a quick look at those wee strawberry hideys and even though it says £1.22, when you add it to basket it marks it as £3.77 now :/ Very strange. Must have been a limited time thing but it's a little misleading.

They still add as £1.23 for me the seller is tangtang :D mine have just been shipped too xx

Lovely photos. Wishing you the best of luck. How is the boy with the leg issues getting around?
With the metacam he's not too bad. He just drags his legs a little every now and again, but can still jump into the hay box :). It's more noticeable when you lift him up. His back legs go straight out the back of him and you have to tuck them back in for him. When you set him back in his cage you set him on his tummy and he gets his legs back underneath himself and gets up. He's still a happy chappy tho :) x
