I've had Rolo & Twix for a little over a week now. They live in a C&C cage with a second level loft. They have not ventured up the ramp to the loft. I've tried placing them in the loft and also placing food up the ramp. Neither has worked. They just ignore the ramp. Do I just need to give them more time or is there something I can do to encourage them to go up the ramp to check out the loft?

Thanks!

Has your ramp got carpet on or anything that makes them feel secure like a tunnel over it?

Before our girls went into a c&c they wouldn't use the ramp in their cage but as soon as we covered it with carpet tile they did. Same in the boys hutch-their ramp has carpet tile on it too-gives their claws something to grip onto.

If you have got carpet on putting some kind of edge or a tunnel over it will help to make them feel more secure on it.

Had the same probs so sewed a couple of tunnels from fleece and an old tea towel and they took to the ramps like ducks to water! Now they are over confident and just trample them down and run on the top so I took them out but kept the ramp covered with a bit of old fleece! Good luck!
