i feeeel so guilty, as iv posted jerry is a lil on the bad side of health, he is suffering from bad mites ( which he has nearly finished treatmnt for ) but i discovered further issues with jerry which other members said may be ring worm, but i was lookin at his little face earlier n just had o get him out 4 a fuss he put me on a guilt trip lol, but i just cant sstop rakeing whilst fussing him as i just feel creaped out, i feel like such a bad piggy mommy lol, any one else ever felt like this

If you are washing your hands (and any exposed skin of yours) thoroughly afterwards, you should be ok!

i am, I'm suprised you cant see my bone iv scrubbed so hard, but ijust feel so bad, as i cant just not handle him cuz he has the llurgy, poorly piggies need even more love in my eyes. but that doesnt stop me feeling grosed out at the though of mites under my skin and ring worm taking over my body ....:...

Why don't you get out an old pullover or apron and some cheap throw away latex gloves?

I don't know if anyone else has noticed.. but horse hay, bagged up and can be bought in pet shops, is not treated, so there are mites in it.. Over the years I have used it, and ALL my guineas got mites... since 2 years ago I switched to pets at home compacted hay... and NO mites to report!

iv only had him 2 weeks, he came to me with them, when i went to get him she had some ready in a box, but i asked to see her others, n she got him out from downher shed, n said he had been kept on his own, that she ws keeping him :S n said he was over groomed so had lost his hair. but that was not the case, he was exteramly mite infested, took him to the vets next mornin to start his treatment for them, but poor lil feller dont seem that much better really.

This is what I am going with Bumble who may have ringworm - we have 'Bumble's t-shirt' that whoever is handling has to put on before handling him! I'm allergic to latex so can't do the gloves but am just washing my hands a lot (I have a bit of a thing about handwashing anyway so not much different to normal lol)
