So what have I learnt in my first 3 days as a guinea pig owner.

Well it wasn't an exaggeration when you guys called pigs poop machines. They poop a llllooottttt. But mostly in their hidey holes so relatively easy to clean and pig poop isn't gross and stinky like cats.

Oswald should have been called tank or rhino he's a big boy steals food off his brother and if he spots me giving a treat to j-roc I have to give him one or he just takes j-rocs (it's the only time they've squeaked so far indignantly over parsley)

Food wise kale was treated the way I treat kale...with disdain. Carrot and cucumber popular as is broccoli. Cauli is eaten but not as quickly and they would both sell their souls for parsley.

Mostly I love those furry little beasts already

:) Your piggies sound lovely! They are indeed poo machines, tubes on legs :)

Parsley is the food of the gods! Try Coriander too, that is always a favourite with our pigs

We have to be careful when giving our boys carrot, sometimes nibble my finger instead. No boys, that is not a carrot! :))

yes j-roc gave my parsley fingers a good sniff today.

Luckily they don't yet appear to be biters not even in fear so as much as they dont like being picked up they are easily m9ved which will make it much easier when it's whole cage cleaning or vet visit time
