Well, we did it. We got Gibson a new little friend - Keith!

Keith is 5 weeks old, was the third of an unplanned litter, and he is tiny. We had them together yesterday evening, and put a smaller cage inside the C&C for Keith to be in overnight. Gibson was very humpy to begin with, but incredibly excited about his new friend, so we thought best to have a barrier between them over night. Keith loves Gibson, and follows him everywhere! I am pleased we made the decision to get Gibson a new companion. He in no way replaces Higgins, but makes life brighter for Gibson (and us!). The cat (7months) is obsessed with him so we're keeping the fleece blanket over the top of the C&C for the time being, and hope that when Keith sees Gibson's reaction to Alan the cat (there isn't one!), he will be a little more at ease with him. Should say - there is no way the cat can get to them, and he sleeps in a different room overnight so they're never alone on the same space.

Welcome Keith. He’s so cute and fluffy and tiny! Glad they’re getting on so well. Are they in their cage now or in the bonding area? :wub:
 
Oh no @anyar.dris ! I hope he won't mind! haha! We have a cat called Alan and a pufferfish called Tony, it's only Gibson and sonny the dog that don't have 'real' names!
@Zanzan he certainly looks (and feels!) like one!
@Siikibam they are in the cage now, Gibson is so content having him around, and all seems quite calm and settled. They're both under a blanket at the moment chatting to each other..!

we are hopeful it will stay this positive, but will of course keep an eye on things. Gibson is so chilled out though, I don't think he knows how to argue..!

Oh my god, my Father-in-law's name is Allan! :yikes: :lol:
 
@Siikibam They spent yesterday together, we did a couple of brief nose to noses first before we actually let them loose on each other, then they were separated in the C&C, so could still talk to/sniff each other. Fresh bedding, complete clean out and all new hay in the loft and downstairs.. Keith is currently snuggled up next to Gibson, they are both sleeping quite happily.

Went to Oxford to get Cleo, I know my way around already! :D

Aaaawwwww, he’s absolutely adorable! :luv::luv: So pleased they’ve both got a pal! Love his name! Hope loads more pics to come! :D:wub:x
 
Haha! Brilliant! We found Alan at the side of the road at the end of June when he was 5 weeks(ish) old, he wasn't staying....!

They are currently sleeping (again). Keith follows Gibson everywhere, Gibson seems much more content. And, as a bit of a Brucey-bonus, his bum and bits are the cleanest I've seen them in years! All the running around is doing wonders for his impaction!

I promise more photos ASAP! :)
 
Oh my goodness what a cutie pie 😂 glad they are getting along can’t wait to see more pigtures!
