I picked up Gilbert's ashes today :) They were in a nice wooden box. I put it on my desk, and placed a picture of him on top.

I also put this on my desk.

So he's basically everywhere in my room :) My dad said that putting his ashes near the window isn't good (my desk is next to the window). Is that true? I really like the spot the box is in right now, but if that's true, I'll move it. RIP Gilbert <3

I think you've got your room looking really nice with Gilbert all around you.

I haven't head that about it not being good to have the ashes near the window - did your Dad explain why? I can't think that it would make any difference where you have them, and I like the way you've put his picture on top of the little casket like that.

I agree that your room looks beautiful, he was a much loved piggy x

Ah that's beautiful...i'm so glad you respect your passed away piggy so much :) i think I'll have a mental breakdown if I lose my baby though...:(

Ahh, that's lovely! The box is really nice and the pictures look really good too. He really was a gorgeous boy. x)

What a beautiful way to remember him by, lovely :)

You know - when I had my little Rufus cremated I paid £25 and was told I wouldn't get any ashes back because he was a small animal and there wouldn't be enough.

Bit mad about that!

I can't see your pix on my work computer but I am sure they look lovely xx

Aw =[ I would've been really mad myself! I guess they didn't provide that service =[ Gilbert's cremation was $118, pretty pricey but very worth it :)

I paid a lot to get Fudge cremated and returned, but she came back in a beautiful little wooden box, with a personalised engraved name tag and a certificate to say that she was definitely in there. She sits in my bedroom on my dresser so I can see her every day.

That is the most wonderful tribute, Gilbert was clearly very very well loved and I know he will never be forgotten xx
