Just to let you all know that Ginger has now left us and gone to Rainbow Bridge. I found her this morning. She has now been buried with Patch, one of my other guinea pigs, in the garden. Even though I knew she didn't have long left it still doesn't make it easier to cope with. She will always stay in my heart as she was my oldest guinea I've ever had. Thanks again to everyone for their kind words, advice and help. I would still like to help gjuineas and to speak to people on this forum to offer any help I can.
 
I'm so sorry to hear this. (((hugs))) even when you expect it you live in hope that they will get better.

So sorry to hear about Ginger, felt like I knew her after reading the threads about her over the last few weeks and months. So hard to lose one let alone one like her that had made it to such a grand old age.

I am so sorry for you loss.
I know all of the problems she had lately and you were such a good piggy parent.
She was an old lady and it is testimony to you that she lived so long.

Thanks for all your comments. I feel quite peaceful about it today, probabaly because I now know she is completely at rest.

I'm so sorry for your loss rw3399. I just checked in and was so sadened to hear about little Ginger. I feel like you were just telling me about her. I know you must be hearbroken but I remember you telling me what pain she was in. She had a wonderful long life with someone who loved her very much. She was very lucky to have you in her life. I'm glad you said you are feeling at peace. That shows that you know you took wonderful care of her and she is no longer in pain. I'll keep you and Ginger in my thoughts... :'( :'( :'(
