Sorry i haven't been on for such a long time but i have my piggy forum time shortened to basicly zero.

Anyway my female piggy , Gingerness, has crusts around her nipples. I haven't got time lately to read through a whole page about health so am relying on you guys to tell me.

Again , apologies for not being on much. :)

Oh yes crusty nip nips I know of these very well. Has she got balding on her sides? A little more snappy then normal? Would be worth getting her checked out, turned out Pecan's crusty nips was related to ovarian cysts.

Crusty nipples are generally connected to hormonal problems and grwoing ovarian cysts. they can be accompanied by other symptoms like balding on the sides or a moody or aggressive behaviour but not necessarily so. Thankfully, there are now hormonal non-invasive treatments available.

I agree it sounds like ovarian cysts. Your vet may need to do a scan to properly diganose. My Maddie had her cyst drained but hormone injections can also be effective.

I don't think they necessarily get all of the symptoms. I would get her scanned to find out for certain.
