I found an easy way to let the girls run in the bathroom, block off around the shower and open the doors wider. My shower is an open wet room shower so it doesn't have a base so it's flat! Perfect. Can you believe my two younger girls are nearly as big as Bubsy now?!

Aaaand my boyfriend bought the girls a christmas present! Those chew sticks with nuts and things on :)


I just turned around to see who was speeding around the cage and it was Bubsy! I have never seen her do that before! She has really settled in well. She was such a skittish pig. <3
 
I love the pig in your profile picture! She reminds me of postman Pat's cat! Cute pink nose!
 
Beautiful girls. I would not give them the treat as nuts and seeds are bad for guinea pigs. It is junk food.
 
Thanks! Are the treats that bad? It's made for guinea pigs, i have three girls and i have one in the cage and they haven't eaten half of it yet. They just seem to have a nibble every now and then? And two are growing girls i thought it might not do too much harm?
 
Yes they are really bad. Seeds are fattening and can get stuck in their teeth. They usually contain nuts and honey which they should never have either.

How are you getting on with your allergies to the piggies?
 
Ah pretty much the same, i have noticed i am more allergic to Ursula (b&w Abyssinian) i think it is to do with her finer hair. Kiara has taken to climbing up me and sitting on my neck! It makes me itch a little but not for long. I make it worse for myself by shoving my face into them and kissing them haha I will sort out getting some cheap anti histamines from the uk soon after the xmas break. I know it's not the bedding the fleece is fine i use a fleece on my bed, and the wood shavings don't seem to bother my hands when i sort out their litter tray. My brother is becoming a bit allergic to his cats now, seems it comes with age :(
 
As long as you can manage it, then you are OK :) I have to be careful what beddings and hay and other products I use with my horse because of asthma.
 
Yeah it is annoying but it only flares up when touching them and cleaning the cage. The hay doesn't seem to bother me it must be a fur thing
 
Glad to see I'm not the only one who uses the bathroom for floor time! I have a flat double shower & by leaving the doors open they have the shower as well as the sink area.
