Girls Like Veggies More Than Boys Do

I have noticed from veggie time that i set the veggies down at the same time (same veggies and almost same amount) it's not an issue i just think it's interesting my girls chow down on their veggies and it's gone within minutes and they love it. the boys eat a bit and then leave the rest in their feeding area and eat it little by little . there are 5 girls and 4 boys .

I have only ever had my 2 current boys. I just have to ask "who wants carrots/lettuce/parsley, etc" (they know all their food words) & they come running to the front of the cage. They inhale their vegies is the only way I can describe the speed with which they eat them! Your boys sound positively dainty in their vegie eating etiquette

I have to agree, my old females used to wolf the veg down without breathing! My two current boys do like their veg and they will come over as soon as it goes in, but they won't just gobble until it's all gone they will go for a trot around or have some hay and come back every so often

That is really interesting. In my group Mooli, my boar, tries to dominate all the vegetables!
