I think Dennis and Betsy want their dindins of veg. They want all the sympathy cos they clearly are starving and haven't been fed in eleventy billion years! I am such a baaaaaaaad Slave!

Dennis and Betsy have written to the GPU and the letter said this:-

Dear GPU

We are clearly starved! Our slave hasn't fed us in Eleventy Billion Years! The fact we have an endless supply of the best farm hay to be found, forage, pellets and oats today has nothing to do with it we only get fed veg ONCE a day! We would like our slave to realise that we need supplies of food more often. PLEASE help us! We feel like we are deprived.

Poor Dennis and Betsy. It’s a hard life being a guinea pig and being waited on hand and foot. Two of my boys get so hungry they bite their cage bars every 12 hours to remind me to feed them . I think they have a clock hidden somewhere as their timing is spot on. Maybe there’s a secret piggie o’clock that us lowly humans know nothing about

From my own experience I do think guinea pigs have a good sense of the time of day. Whether this is from an innate ability to sense the passage of time (chronoception) or an ability to recognize cues from their environment that indicate that it is the time for the food givers to give food, I do not know.

Dear Ever beautiful Betsy and Dennis,
We have instructed our slave to explain to you that piggies need veggies more than once a day. We get a lettuce leaf every morning, we usually get some coriander or dill at lunchtime and then we get more veggies later in the day. Sometimes if slave is being lazy and not feeding us on time we get Jemimah to wheek. She is very loud.
We hope things will now improve for you.
