So, Billy is still on anti biotics for his jaw infection.

This is fine, however I am going away for a week soon , my mum is really struggling to catch Billy to give him medicine. He gives her such a run about & i'm trying to train her everyday but it's not going great!

Anyone got any tips for this?

Try show your mum how to coax him into a hidey, then put her hand in the hidey whilst blocking te entrance with her wrist, allowing her to safely pick him up without anyone getting hurt.

Failing that, find a juice that he likes, and try drawing up his meds, then drawing up some fruit juice, give the syringe a shake then administer it to him in his cage and see if he takes it willingly. If he does, she can give his meds without lifting him out.

I know how you feel- my mum comes in and gives fudge her teatime meds if I'm working a full day. Fudge is on meds for life and gets them every 8 hours. My mum cant (or more likely wont) lift the pigs as she is scared she'll drop them (and she knows how much i love them!). Luckily fudge takes her most important medication with absolute delight, so no need to lift her out. I then give the other one when I'm home (she can have that one anytime, as long as full dose given in 24 hours.)

Hope either of the suggestions work!
