Giving My Guinea Pig A Friend!

Hi everyone!

My boyfriend and I are recently new piggy parents and we're comsidering getting our Chip a playmate. Chip is a young boy Guinea pig. Does anyone have any advice on choosing a playmate for Chip?

I think it would be a very good idea to find a companion for your boy. Guinea pigs relly do need company of their own kind .


Where are you based? We may be able to recommend a rescue that offers "boar dating"

Hi and welcome
Perhaps being as your Chip is a youngster he may pair up well with an adult and will hopefully naturally be happy to let the adult pig take the role of head-pig. Boar dating is the best way to go as you are better able to find a good personality match.

I am located in the US, and I've started doing research on "boar dating" and unfortunately haven't found any nearby places that offer this. I will keep researching in this direction and hopefully find my Chip a new friend !
