Giving New Piggie Veggies?

I am kind of "rescuing" a guinea pig from Craigslist, and this person has had him for a couple weeks and has not given him any veggies. Should I start feeding him veggies immediately, or slowly transition him? And if so, any tips? Thanks!

I’d introduce veg gradually, small bits of one at a time. If his tummy isn’t used to getting fresh food, too much could upset it. Lots and lots of lovely hay, and good pellets will make up for no/limited veggies for now
