Gizi Can't Squeak!

I know I'm a bit of a worry wart and all but I never know if something is normal or not. My little Gizi sometimes has trouble squeaking. She basically sounded croaky like a frog sort of, she can do it really loud sometimes but sometimes she sounds croaky. Is this something to worry about?

Don't worry, Cookie has a hoarse croak at times when Wheeling but not others. As long as she is breathing fine and no whistles or hooting then it's probably just a hoarse wheek

I notice this sometimes with Frank if he needs a drink but has been sleeping for ages and would rather sleep than do some excercise (up the ramp to the water), so sometimes I just put him there haha, I rung Suzy from GGPR when we first had Frank because I noticed this, she just said to ensure extra water is added to their veg

Yes, hoarse squeaking is nothing to worry about. My late Suzie often had a hoarse, wheezy squeak, particularly if she tried squeaking quite loud.

I have a pig with a broken wheeker, Lily. She's the oldest in my herd of 6. She's ok with very quiet wheeks and can chatter along like everyone else. When she goes full steam at dinner time she sounds like an air pump. She's a chirper, which sounds like there's some kind of grasshopper loose in the cage as it's just a whisper. On the odd occasion a loud noise comes out she seems to give herself a fright and stops. She's a funny little character.

It's fine. My piggie Ludwig couldn't wheek either. He'd try but either nothing came out of it'd be a croaky barely able to make it out noise. He had no problems. =)

yes complete agreement Fluffy lost her wheek and sounded like someone letting air out of tyres when she got older.
