I loved these girls with all my heart. We had them since they were 2 months old and they were our 1st pets.. Gladys Emmanuel ( to give her full name ) belonged to my son and Pippin was my daughters. Obviously they were my fur babies and I loved looking after them and watching them grow. Such individuals yet so alike.

Sadly Gladys was pts in May 2019 after it was discovered she had a brain tumour... it was heart wrenching to make the decision and one I will never forget...

Pippin was sadly pts to sleep on Christmas day, unfortunately we dont know what made her stop eating 😥 and I really did feel helpless not being able to get food into her..

I am remembering all the happy memories, the wheeks at dinner time, the rare kisses I would receive and the little head buts I would get.. We had a lovely routine and they would both jump into their fleece house to be transported to the floor run each night... Pippin would always be last to get in to go to the floor but always the first to go to bed ❤

You would both have a mad 10 minutes doing zoomies on the floor.. and still popcorn even as you both got older. When you were little you would stay on your fleece blanket and never step on the wooden floor - like it was lava 😊..

You will always hold a special place in my ❤ Gladys & Pippin .. now together forever in your favourite little blankets x x x x IMG-20191226-WA0011.webp

Aww, so sorry 😥. But precious, priceless memories that in time will make you smile at what you had, instead of feel sad at what you lost x

These 2 beauties were some of my forum favourites. I’m so sorry that you’ve lost them both this year. I hope they are reunited at the Rainbow Bridge xx

Such gorgeous girls, I am so sorry you have lost them. They were 2 of my forum favourites too, the forum has lost so many favourites recently. Sending you hugs. X

So sorry for your loss. Try take comfort that Gladys and Pippin were much loved and cared for. The longer haired one ? Pippin is so like my Dougal who I lost last year. He was a little star and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him and lovely Leo who passed away in March. They were my little princes . Please be kind to yourself x

I am so sorry that you have lost both your precious girls this year.

Having had to emergency pts Carwyn in October 2018 for a haemorrhaging brain tumour and losing my Myfina to a blockage in her guts over Christmas 2017, I really feel for you!
It is so gutting when you feel so helpless at the worst time of the year... Myfina sadly died while waiting to be seen by the totally overloaded out-of-hours service; she started with losing her appetite and going downhill very quickly, too. It is one of the deaths that has been lingering with me for longer. She was just coming up to four years of age. :(

But you have also some wonderful memories of some personal quirks and times of utter delight that will never leave you, :tu: as well as the knowledge that while your girls have not had the chance to live to an old age (not your fault!), they have both had a very happy life - and it is the happy todays that guinea pigs measure their lives by, not a certain life expectancy.

Zoom together like mad again at the Rainbow Bridge, Gladys and Pippin!
And HUGS to you, @artcasper .

I’m sadden to hear of Gladys and Pippins passing. We lost Broly a few months ago (very sudden and very unexpected), and it still hurts. I know they were very loved and will be missed.

Zoom freely Gladys & Pippin!
*hugs*

Sorry to hear you’ve lost your beloved piggies - they were beauties. They will stay in your heart forever.💕

Beautiful tribute to two beautiful girls. So sorry for your loss. ☹ It is hard when all you have left is the memories, but stay strong.
