I've been battling these things for almost a month. I dont mean a few here and there, I mean like more than 80. I have gnat traps out 24/7. One ive caught over 80 in small and big ones. But they dont come around the traps as much and i see them sitting on the wall beside the cage a lot and I kill them everytime i see them but they just keep coming. They only stay around the litter box inside the cage which I empty out everyday, but doesn't seem to matter. I dont know if taking the litter box out would help either, I did that once before and all that happened was a bunch of pee and hay ended up in that spot on the liner and then the gnats were after that. I'm going crazy! Also I can barely even eat without a gnat trying to get in my food lol.

Those things are the worst! Have you tried the apple cider vinegar traps? Those have helped get rid of the fruit flies in my house.

Have you checked it's not the hay? I had to chuck an entire bag of hay the other day as tons of little moth-like flies were inside and obviously hatched out in the warm weather

I keep the hay sealed and its away from the cage. And this is what I have in my gnat traps its a super zoomed in picture but up close they almost look like a fly and a bee had a child lolScreenshot_20200911-122506_Gallery.webp
