I'm not sure where to post this, but I have a gnat problem in my piggy cage. I'm not sure how to completely get rid of them.. My cage is always clean, and I vacuum up the gnats daily, but they just keep coming back! What do I do?

Where is the cage located? Perhaps move it and is there anything in/around the cage which is attracting them you can move?

I find that plants are a big contributor to encouraging those types of pests. If you cannot locate the source of the problem, can you buy a piece of muslim cloth and drape it over your cage?

In the garden centre yesterday I saw some carnivorous plants (Venus Fly Traps) and wondered if they would be any good for keeping down flies in the kitchen or piggie room ... :yikes:

I had this problem but not in my pigs room luckily- I binned all the plants and they went away!

I tend to find plants and veggies attract them. I regularly remove any wash veggies and don't have any plants in the room. I also have a fly net over the window to try and reduce the amount of bugs that come through the window.
