god are some people just bloody stupid.ok I'm know as the farm lady as iv got chickens.anyway had a lad call round tonight and ask if id take two guinea pigs as he couldnt cope said they been together afew weeks as they make buzzing noises which mean they likke each other no the noise is a boar
get them inside and get first one out.sow-covered in sores from biting herself with mites got a scab on her face which not sure what is it.could it be from the mites?given her a bath in insecticide shampoo and given ivermectin and put aloe vera gel on sores.
boar seems in good shape, few bits of flakey skin so hes been bathed and ivermectin aswell.now its obv shes probably pregnant.do i seperate them or leave them abit until they settle?if seperate both will be lonely.when can i give all clear that mtes have gone?
sorry for long post.had a stressfull day and now this *sigh*

Oh dear - at least he had the decency to bring them to you and not dump them somewhere :(
Can't give you strong advice but if in your shoes, separate them then whisk them to the vets at the first opportunity.
Poor little things, why do people let them suffer :o
Keep us posted with their progress x>>
Just noted she may be pregnant - not much point in separating them :( unless she's about to drop the pups.
Hope they're ok.

Oh poor things. That boy clearly was clueless but at least he gave them to you and did not dump them somewere. They need to see a vet as soon as possible. Once the babies are born she may have males and females which would be company for each of them. Make sure you take the boar out as soon as she is giving birth as once a guinea pig gives birth she can go into heat right away and will get pregnant again.

Are you able to keep them? If not once they see a vet you should find an animal shelter who will have them.
