my mother will be able to get to mine every other day but not every day would the guinea pigs be ok on this arragement if we went away for just a week as i would not really want to move them from there own home

The problem with pigs is the will literally 'pig out' so they will need top ups daily on dried and hay. If they are left more than 24 hours without they could become ill from not having enough, they are grazers so need to be fed twice daily. :)

i will have to buy a big cage and see if she will have them there but think dad have a fit only thing is got a fox badger and cats round her place

Can you look for a guinea pig boarding facility near you or ask your vet whether they look after holiday pets?

I went away for 2 nights last year and left my bf to clean them out - I came home and he hadn't picked up any of his poos and just chucked loads of hay on top of everything - he did feed them, but their cages looked a right mess when I got home, it was embarrassing!

i live in mosspit area of stafford just of junction 13 nothing planned yet but might pop down to cornwall 29th aug for a week . was thinking of ringing vets see if some one near by. or buying another cage and taking them with us but dont know how they are at travelling thanx guys for replying:)p

Hi

I have sent you a private message.

Also - i am only an hour away from you - so if you wanted to meet me half way i could look after them here. I have spare cages & hutches.
