Ok, so my holiday plans for September have now changed. My parents are going to Turkey for a week, we were all originally going for 2 weeks but I've dropped out as I was too worried about the piggies and mum was worried about our little yorkie going into a kennel.

Anywho, instead of Turkey.. mum and I are going away in our caravan for 6 nights a couple days after they get back from abroad.

My friend Annie will still look after the piggies at her house for me, but I'm undecided on what to do about run time. It's only going to be 6 nights so I'm not sure if I should buy a little fold up outdoor run for her to put them in, or just leave it.

They are all quite tame, but 3 can be very nervous at times.. so I'm worried about her handling them mallethead .
I'm also worried she may forget herself and put the wrong pairs in together or something lol

I trust that she would not do anything on purpose.. and I suppose I could talk her through everything but accidents happen right?. I don't know if I should just tell her not to worry about handling them and just spot clean their cages until I pick them up.

If it was me I would tell her just to spot clean..... but I'm kinda paranoid about things like that so take that inot account lol ..... might put your mind at rest when youre away though...x

why don't you ask your friend to come over to yours and you can talk her through everything before you go away. You can show her how to handle them properly, clean the cage, how much food to give them etc. If she handled them even one night a week untill you go then the piggies would maybe get to know her and then this would ease your mind and you could enjoy your holiday with no worries.

I have had the same situation recently I had to leave my pigs with a friend who had no expereince what so ever, however her daughter who lives nearby is a vet nurse so I felt ok with leaving them there for 7 days.

Bless her she did a good job with all my food instructions. I advised her not to pick them up unless nessacery especially Caramel who is a complete "spitfire wiggle bum" of course her daughter can.

She spot cleaned the cage, and when I got my pigs back they had their cuddles and floor time. They were fine without it for the week.

are your piggies easily told apart? could you maybe take a picture of each one and stick them to the cages so she knows who is allowed with who etc.
