Well not the vets exactly. I go to April Lodge rescue in Eastry as they are the only people I know who actually understand guinea pigs and are able to treat Charlie properly. I was talking to my friend who has Rosie and her 3 babies about how good they are there. and she phoned the rescue and asked if she could bring Rosie and babies for a check up, sexing, etc. She mentioned her adults Polly, Paula, Val and Angie needed their teeth and nails done and they got booked in for a check up. I said while she was taking all the pigs for their appointment, I may as well come in the car too and have Charlies mouth checked over and Kenny as well. So we now have a 10-piggy appointment booked! It's like a coach trip for guinea pigs. :))

Hehehe! :)) Thats a lot of piggies to take to the vets- have fun! :))

It's really exciting because we are having the babies sexed during their check up. After that, we can make plans for what is going to happen in the future. Ie, if there is just one boy, obviously he will have to be neutered so he can go in with the girls. If there is 2 boys, they will get a new cage so they can live as a pair.

I just hope the boys can behave themselves when they smell the ladies. rolleyes Seeing as we have a 40 min car journey with all of them.

Well, we had the babys sexed - 2 boys and a girl. Val, Polly, Paula, Angie and Rosie are fine. Val has a spur on one of her feet but it's not bothering her. Charlies mouth has cleared up but now Kenny has the fungal infection on his ears. Also Charlie is wheezing, she said it could be linked to the infection. Probiotics, fungal shampoo, etc to buy tomorrow. Got a bin bag full of readigrass as a freebie which was nice.
