going off favourite veg

I guess this is a silly question but is it normal for Guinea Pigs to love something one week and not touch it the next?

My boys used to go mental for cucumber now they wont touch it...they seem to now prefer kale or parsnips instead, I assume its just like people who go through phases of liking then going off stuff?

If you're feeding them what they 'love' every day, then yes, they will go off it it's best to give them a selection of food that way they don't get bored and waste your hard earned money |)

I have been trying to "mix it up" everyday, giving a variety of veggies, think i need to make myself a rota of veggies to make sure I dont give too much of any one thing. who knew it could be this complicated....mallethead

That's so odd, I was thinking about this very question this morning. I kept a little food diary when I first got my boys but their tastes have definitely changed over the months. pepper is always a winner, and they do alright with most veg but their taste in fruit seems to change - they used to like blueberries but not so much anymore. maybe it depends on season / freshness as well? I just give them fruit on one day a week and a mix of veggies the other days. can't wait til they have grass again in the spring!
