To prepare for when we can bring Truffle home! I'm just in love with the glass water bottles and one of our small local pets shops sell them so going to see what other treats I can buy her! My hubby is slightly regretting saying yes to having a piggy! rolleyes I'm sure he will love her when we do bring her home!

mmmmm.... i love buying piggie treats....
my lot love the salt licks you get... and wicker balls...although they are destroyed in about 5 seconds....rolleyes...and pigloo's....nice heavy food bowl other wise they tip it everywhere... AND TOYS...!.... cant beat some guinea toys...!
have fun...!.... i think reading this has made me want to go on a splurge....!

I've heard that salt licks are bad for guinea pigs?

Also lots and lots of HAY!

Me too - also wicker balls are deemed as unsafe as someone (can't remember if it was here or another forum) had one for her piggies and one got their head stuck inside it :... I removed the one we had for our piggies and threw it away, they have the little coloured plastic balls now but rarely bother with them. We only bought them because they were bright colours :))
You can spend a fortune on stuff :x, my OH loves making things for them so they have some quite unique stuff in their pens ;)
Have fun piggy shopping and we love pictures :))

Mine have had wicker balls, plastic balls and things with bells/jingly bits on but have never bothered with them.
The main things they love and wooden things to chew on, tunnels and pigloos.

Lots and lots of hay and scrummy nuggets/pellets.

It was me guinea pig slave! Mabel got her head stuck and was quite distressed...luckily it was in the morning before I left to go to work or she would have had her head stuck potentially all day :0 it's a shame because they did like them, but i'd never use them again now!

i have always given my guineas salt licks...
never had a problem yet... couple of them really much them... couple of them dont bother...
i did hear this about the wicker ball.... and it must have been quite a shock to find your guinea stuck... but mine litterally eat half of one in abbout 20 mins... so i dont think they run the risk of getting stuck... :))
you can get these little wodden chews that are £1 for 5 of them and my lot love them too...!... aswell as cardbord tubes and boxes etc...

My pigs have them, but like the majority of toys, shouldn't be used unsupervised! Mine get theirs out at floor time :)

I had a brill time shopping, I bought a lovely food bowl with a pigture of a piggie inside and a glass water bottle with a floating carrot inside for the water level! We were also looking at runs for the garden/indoor floor time and wondered which were better to use?

great... i have those water bottles... there so cute... the only thing i'd say about them is dont keep them in direct sunlight or directly by a radiator as they leak when they get heated up slightly...
i use the pannels you can get from pets at home for a run i think there fab...
here... i'll put up a pic...

Aw brill, thanks for the advise!
Your run looks amazing and along the lines of what I was looking for, are they just called run panels, I might call in pets at home after work one day and have a look. Truffle is one pampered piggy already^)
