Going to be a Foster mum

Fostering is very rewarding. I have fostered 38 piggies, 5 bunnies and currently have 4 piggies for Jill (Honeybunny). I kept 1 piggie called Noel. He came in with a nasty eye infection and after nursing him back to health, just couldn't let him go. Its lovely seeing how they start to trust you and, whilst its hard to let them go, I know that they are going to good home and to someone who wants them.

Id love to be able to foster, and i know they are going to a good home, so that would be rewarding. My Oh says no more animals are to come to this house.. but I'm working on him :))
 
Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to it but also a bit nervous, this is my first foster but something I have been thinking about, Sophie is dropping them this evening and I'm sure we will be fine.

My bf has said that I cannot keep them! mallethead

Will let you know how we go with these guys :)
 
You are a lucky lady - they are beautiful boys. Perhaps when your bf gets to know them, he changes his mind...

We were off out last night to my sons football presentation, so the boys had time to explore the indoor cage with no one around. We filled up the veggie bowl and put some hay in, when we came home everything had gone!

I put a few more snacks in and went up to bed and couldn't sleep and popped back down to check on them and as soon as they heard me they dived for cover! But we will work on that ........

I am really pleased to have them here and hopefully they will come out of themselves, only time will tell :)
 
Aw I'm sure they will settle in soon, I have a girl who still dives for cover everytime I go anywhere near the cage. If she is in the tray under the hay rack she sends everything from the tray flying around the cage because she tries to get away so quickly. Still working on her, one day she will come round :)

I'm working on them staying with us but I would also like the opportunity to do fostering again at some point but he will never let me if I end up keeping them all rolleyes:))rolleyes
 
I can here them now scampering around in the kitchen, I am going to peep round the corner :)):))

You too Sophie, they have been very quiet today, we did have them out one at a time for a cuddle and they were fine but they stay in the house out of sight! until we go out and then they eat :)):))

its going fine, they are very shy, scared piggies, we have held them a couple of times and I am going to put them out in the run later, no closer to keeping them though :( bf is not an animal person at all, but if he's happy for me to foster they I will have to accept that!

I hope we can make a difference to these two though as they are such cute little boys and you can't help but feel for them xoxo
