Well I normally go to Aldi for my veg shopping on a Friday but have now started my placement so can't go til the weekends. I am dangerously low on hay as well so needed to go wilkinsons so thought I might as well see what veg I can get in town. I went into coop and the carrots were 33% extra free for 64p a bag, broccoli was 33% extra for 87p and the spring greens were 30p off to 75p!

On top of that I got myself a bargain as they had some baking potatoes (4 pk) reduced to 30p because they are near the end date, onions were 33% extra and 75p for the bag and I treated myself to some weetos out of nostalgic curiosity which were reduced to £1.27 a box hehe

Can't remember the last time I walked out of a supermarket with two carrier bags full and spent less than £7!

Since being on my own I have found it difficult to adjust to a single wage coming in and now I tend to cycle the veggies so that they get a good mix but it changes on a weekly rota rather than daily. They used to have a large variety over a daily basis, now I buy 3-4 different types of veg/fruit and change it every week. I tend to go to Aldi if I can and get what they have on their super 6 for 39p as well

this is what I do :-) its too expensive to keep offering tonnes of different veggies everyday !
 
I love a bargain. Usually go in asda at 3 on a Sunday as they reduce but I was with hubby and he said you dont need anything do you? I didnt like to say well I wanted veggies for Bertie. Bertie turned his nose up at fresh basil and red pepper yesterday....spoiled piggie!
