Hi I have found some second hand breeder cages for sale locally & am going to take a look at them tomorrow. There are 3 blocks for sale. The measurements aren't massive but are dirt cheap. I think they are 3 cages high & about 3ft wide, & nearly 3 ft deep. Each compartment would give about 9sq ft. There are 3 for sale if I can fit 2 into the car I will be advertising one for sale. If the condition is ok they will be around £20.
If I do get one I am going to tart it up to go in my dining room to match the decor ? I'm sick of having animals everywhere 1 lot in the shed, 1 lot in the house & the rescue boys bundled up by silver bubble wrap, carpet, snuggle safe's & heaters outside.
I'm constantly leaving bags of food outside & it gets rained on & the place is a tip. I have a really nice bright spot for them until they can go outside again.
I think I will wall paper the exterior - really chintzy! replace the wire with chicken wire like those rustic cupboards you get, might get really silly & make muslin curtains for bed time when I have the light on late at night!. I'll do the wood work barley white too. Quite funny because my decor isn't like that at all!
I'll have to take a gamble with MArgalo's cysts. She's going to CCT for anther planned drain on the old cysts & the injection that stops them in about 1 week. Hopefull that will be the end of her probs. The only permanant boy will be Spud after I've found a home for B&Q.
Where I will put them I am able to have a run attatched to the bottom cage so they can take it in turns with floor time.
What are your opinions on this guys?
