So after initially not wanting another GP after the passing of Honey, after loads of consideration I have changed my mind. I hate seeing Daisy in her cage alone so i contacted Joanne at Hutches Rescue who has a 3 year old female looking for a new home. She is almost a year younger than my Daisy.

I just hope they get on ok!

It was really thoughtful of you to arrange this. I hope it goes well and they like each other.

Just a little update. That's the adopted piggy (who I've named Maple) home and i have both girls out and they are sharing a pile of hay. Daisy was also licking Maple's face! :)

That sounds really positive! You must be so pleased.

Yay! Great news, can't wait for pigtures and updates

Ok maybe I spoke to soon! we have a little bit of teeth chattering going on now and then. Maple is in a hidey sticking her nose out and daisy went upto her and theyboth started teeth chatteringnwhilst facing each other like a head off. Is this normal dominance thing or more serious?

i wouldent worry unless therers actul biting because my Hodgins did that with his new freind Blitz at first and now they are best buds, just keep an eye out and if you see them hurting eachother then seperate them, good luck :) do they have there own hidey house each? cause that might be ure problem?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I put two hideys out but Daisy liked to go into Maple's one. At around 8pm they were both quietly lying in the same hidey. However, I have made a divider to split the cage in half for tonight. Just to let Maple get used to her new home. They each have 1 bowl, hidey, water etc each.

I will see how they get on tomorrow :)

It can do more damage if you split them. You will be better just keeping an eye on them and letting them get on with it.
Only if blood is drawn should they be parted.

@Wiebke suggested to separate them overnight. They are still in the same cage, just a divider in the middle. It is just for through the night as I obviously can't keep an eye on them. I feel bad forcing all this on Maple after her 2 hour journey home today. She is hiding in her house bit so I just want her to get a bit more relaxed.
