Going to the vet again

have a poorly humphrey :... he has lost weight 1/4lbs in a week now 1.75 lbs he has gunky eyes and a runny nose and unwillingness to move he'll eat his veggies but not seen him eat his pellets really hoping its a URI and not dental the vet will tell us (he's only just got over a URI and been well for a week)

well symptoms point to a URI as does listening to his chest so the vet has provided us with baytril and science recovery powder he still has an unwillingness to eat on his own though

doesnt have a choice were feeding him with a syringe to suppliment him the vet said his teeth looked ok but without an x-ray she can't be 100% sure

he's eating his hay pretty enthusiastically just not his pellets but i suppose given the choice all pigs would eat hay and veg over boring pellets

Have * tried mashing the pellets up with water so its in like a paste and then adding about a teaspoon of fruit juice to sweeten it? When mine have been ill it encouraged them to eat just so they were getting something a bit more sustantial than hay x x
