At least once a year, we go to our local vets to get a checkup. So, we have booked an appointment.. Bla bla bla, and yeah. We do have... 3 small problems. One being Woody has a very greasy bottum (I know, grease gland, but we need some advice about it) Two being Woody's nail is totally curved and we can't cut it ourselves so... And three being that they are so.. fat. Not ultra fat.. but like chubby and we need some tips to get rid of that extra Christmas fat! Uhm.. quite nervous.. dont know why. And yeah.

Hope you all are having a nice day!

HI! We have advice on how to clean grease glands in our Daily Care section - not much else you can do but clean them out regularly. How bad they are is very individual across both genders.

There is also not much you can do about tightly curling toes, especially in older piggies. Again, it is a genetic disposition.

If your piggies are very chubby, please try to cut down on their diet. Feed unlimited hay (up to 80% of the daily food intake), 50g of mixed veg per piggy with one high vitamin C veg or fresh herb and gradually reduce the amount of pellets you feed; don't go cold turkey, or you have a riot on your hands! 20g of pellets daily are often enough for an adult piggy! Make sure that they have plenty of run time; call them over for a little herb treat to get them moving.
