First time out in the run for Rosie and I made a cup of tea and sat there for twenty minutes or so keeping an eye on things. I notice Truffle chases her sometimes with her nose up her bottom :o making Rosie wheek like mad but there's nothing vicious I don't think. Is this their way of making friends?!? It happened twice during the twenty minutes.

Also I noticed the older four are muttering and chattering to each other the whole time and they are not normally as vocal as that! They haven't stopped! Is it something to do with the new arrival? (By the way Rosie has spent a lot of time cuddled up on my chest, she is going to be my special gal! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

awww theyre probably excited to have another girlie around :smitten:
When Wilson and my newest piggy met for the first time Wilson kept lifting the babies bum with his nose 98) Wilson also did that with Cindy so yer its probably normal :) Good luck with your new piggy :)

Jessie did the same thing first time in the run with Petal and i've heared some strange purring, muttering sounds from them just not sure what it means ? Petal kept wheaking like mad from her chasing but there was no agression from Jessie so it's probably normal :)

The bum thing is normal and the other girls are probably just chatting about the new arrival. :)

Does it hurt the pigs when they do the bum thing? they look like theyre being pretty rough and my pigs squeek like its hurting?

I pretty sure it doesn't and many guinea pigs make a scene about it. :)
