Yes, I adopted Ruby as a single mother back in 2005. Ruby was 14 months when I first held her, she was born in China & it is just her & I along with our fuzzy babies that make up our sweet little family! [emoji252][emoji170][emoji252][emoji172][emoji173]️[emoji631][emoji630][emoji634]Aw, hello Gus

I also adore the name Ruby!
Was that a name you were able to give her? Or was that the name she had when you first met her that you kept?(I don't really know how adoption works!)
Her given Chinese name was Pei Mu ( meaning very precious peony flower). I named her Ruby and gave her two middle names: Cate & Pei Mu. Keeping her given name honors her heritage and holds true the integrity of her beginnings in life. It was important to me and Ruby is glad I did. She loves her name.![]()
