hello! I have very good news- my piggies are getting a new cage at Christmas! It will be a diy cage made out of wood ( I will post pictures when it happens) but I wanna get a new water bottle. Since it will not be a metal cage my water bottles will not work. Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

btw they are on a bed that is not the cage ;)

How big is their current cage and how big will the new cage be? And are they boars or sows?
Could you have a bottle holder made out of wood maybe? Or leave a gap where you can fit a grid(s) and attach the bottle(s) onto that?

If you can screw hooks into the wood, then you could try the Living World glass bottle. One side is flat so will sit better against the wood, and you fix it with a metal spring with hooks on the ends and a support piece at the bottom that hooks onto the bars or other hooks.

My cage is also a non-metal house for my piggies. I will take a picture tomorrow of how I attached their water bottle in their house; Cocoa and Oreo are in bed for the night and I don't want to turn on their light.

Here are the pictures of the water bottle. I ran out of shorter screws and was lazy about drilling a pilot hole. That's why the screw is poking through on the back. I have the wooden piece attached to the frame of the house with a screw that goes between the two plexiglass panels. The bottle holder that I found had a small hole in the top that I could fit a screw through. I also added a piece of wood that sits on top of their house that prevents it from tipping side to side.

I will admit that my setup is not the most efficient and I would try to do things differently next time. I think next time I would attach a C&C grid to the wood and hang the bottle hanger from that.

The water bottle I found is a Lixit glass bite proof bottle.

I did post a picture of part of Cocoa and Oreo's house just so you can see how I built it. I chose plexiglass since I have a toddler and he is really strong and I was afraid that he would grab ahold of C&C grids and yank their house down. My toddler is able to look at the piggies but not get ahold of them or their house.

Ferplast sippy! They’re great. They come with two different options for attaching, I’m sure one of them would work. Nice flat side to sit flush against the cage too.

My two girls have never worked out their drinking bottle, they have a water saucer instead! :D
Yep, also this! One of mine won’t drink out of a bottle. I bought a Haypigs mini food bowl which keeps the water off the floor a bit, so it doesn’t get as mucky!
