Good news!

[Lucky]

My mum just rang to share some great news with me and, well... I just had to pass it on!

Recently we rehomed a beautiful dark eyed golden (who now eventually has a name! Poppy) for our very sad, lonely Lucky. Lucky was becoming so sad and lonely that she used to sit in the corner of her cage and barely ate any veg. The wheeking for food stopped, and so did any interaction with us unless we physically took her out of the cage.

So after a long and hard search for a nice friend suitable for Lucky, we found Poppy, a gorgeous dark eyed golden. Only named today! She will have been with us for a week tomorrow, and up until very recently she has been hiding under a pile of hay and has not been seen unless taken out of the cage!

Over the last few days, she has been a bit of a bully towards Lucky, but we are pleased that she is now coming out of her hidey much much more, and we are hoping that once territory has been established, she will settle down and be the little angel that she looks!

And not only this, but Lucky is now wheeking for food again, and is scoffing like she has not scoffed before :<>|)x)x>>p

I'm so happy I could cry! hahaa

I'm at uni during the week, and I'm gutted I missed it but I can't wait to get home tomorrow and see it for myself!

Aww I'm so thrilled for you, Lucky and Poppy Whilst you are away at Uni, be assured that they are being well looked after by your mum and that they shall be there waiting for you at the weekends xx

I'm actually so happy about this... when Poppy was still hiding under the hay there was very little change in Lucky so although it may seem small, it makes me want to cry so much!
