Today Whinny had her first strawberry, i just gave her the bottom half of one and she was unsure at first and then wolfed it down! she also gets the occassional baby carrot or piece of apple to go with her hay, pellets, and leafy greens. what are other good treats for piggies? and how much can you feed without them getting sick or chubby?

Most piggies love dandelion leaves, they're weeds so are easy to find, also my piggies enjoy red bell peppers. You shouldn't feed too much fruit as it has natural sugars that can be bad for Guinea Pig's mouths when fed in large amounts. Just stick to giving them a couple of pieces every now and then as a treat.

Fruit wise (altho not very Often) blueberrys are scoffed, grape, cherry, apple, pear & banana.

Bell peppers, coriander, pea shoots, and Rodney goes crazy for green beans xx

I give mine a grape or two each now and then, they particuarly like this in the summer as I keep mine in the fridge so I think they're cool and refeshing.
Also I very occasionaly give mine some (not all) of a banana skin- they like the sweetness and apparently the skin is better for them than the fruit itself.

I'll give mine blueberries or a sprig of parsley every now and then as a treat. Obviously not too often as it's not good for them. I think coriander can be given daily (forgive me if I'm wrong) so that might be an idea.
