As we know it's been pretty hard to find good quality hay this year. I'm glad to say that Maxy and i have found a place near us where you can find really nice, fresh and thin hay. The Larton Liveries and Stables, Frankby have this hay packaged in large bags (3ft high) for £1.40. We have trialled it with Frank and Finlay tonight and the old favorite Scratch and Newton barely got a look in...

I hope it's OK to mention them by name. I'm sure the mods will let me know if not. Here's their website: http://www.lartonlivery.com/.

It's well worth the trip even if you're not local.

good... it's also got a vast range of vetbed. It's already cut but I'm sure you can get a large piece made to measure if you ask, they seem quite amenable...

It looks a lovely place. Love the Wirral it does have some hidden gems. Will pay a visit. The hay sounds great! I just need somewhere to store it! :)

yeah, it's kinda bulky.... but it's so cheap!

Is it all bagged up, as last time i got a bale of hay I was a moron and ended up with hay everywhere throughout the car

yes it is, bags are about 3 ft tall and 1 ft wide, secured with metal tie and in good quality bags.

ooh sounds perfect i might well be taking a day trip out lol

the hay i get is great but having to bag it and then clean the car after is a pain

glad if I can help. The piggies here have not breathed since we've put it in.... We even lost frank in it as he decided to eat it from inside out!:))
