Good strong indoor cages

I am considering getting guinea pigs again and need to find a really sturdy indoor cage.

Ideas welcome.

Saw thr fernplast plaza 160 on zooplus but it now has awful reviews.

I have a c&c cage for my two
I bought mine from kavee but it’s cheaper to diy with grids from Amazon etc
I have a 5x2 which is the right size for two boars - I opted for storage underneath which is great for hay/ spare fleeces etc
It also is easy to clean it out ( saves any bending !)
I also have a lid as I have a dog

C&C is absolutely the best route in my opinion. My grids are songmics from amazon, 2 years in and no issues. Much cheaper than store bought cages and extremely versatile for corners etc. Mine is on a set of cheap kitchen units as we needed more. 20240828_163001.webp
 
Oooo where can you buy cheap kitchen units? What a great idea. I need something high off the ground as my poodle mix, Rusty is VERY keen on small creatures that move.

You can get them in diy shops or sometimes when people have a new kitchen they sell their old ones so eBay/ marketplace etc
Some people use ikea storage ideas

I had a lovely huge cage in my last house. I agree that amazon are good for grids. Kavee things are lovely arent they? I still have some fleeces I bought from them.

They were also from amazon. We put a bit of wood on top as they are not as wide as the cage.
