Hello all!
Sorry that i have not been as active in the past month. For people who have not been following , Bella is my 3-4 year old female piggy who is now living indoors in a C&C . Her friend passed on back in April and we will be looking in the RSPCA this year to find her a new buddy :) Just wondering..Bella weighs 1kg ,is this too heavy? Thank you x

Hi!

I am very sorry for your loss!

Bella is a very good weight. The average weight of an adult piggy is ca. 900-1300g but the normal range runs from ca. 800-1800g depending on the size/weight ratio ('heft').
This link here tells you in detail how you can work out whether a piggy has a good weight/size ratio at whatever stage in life. It can be a better guide than absolute weight as the range is so wide. The Importance Of Weighing - Ideal Weight / Overweight / Underweight

You can consider neutered boars or sows. Mutual liking and character compatibility are much more important than age. If you can rescue date Bella, so she can make her choice who she wants to be with, that would be best.
