I had to make the heartbreaking decision yesterday of what was best for Buddy. He had kidney problems and this would not have resolved itself. He'd been on medication and we'd been handfeeding him for months - he was gradually getting worse despite our best efforts. He is now over the Rainbow Bridge with our past guineas - Alfie, Ziggy and Gem. We are truly devastated, but it was the right decision for him. We are now left with Rosie to cuddle and make a fuss of. At present we are not going to get another piggie (we have always got another piggie for a mate), but really can't do this any more.

I am so sorry for the loss of your piggy, letting them go is often the last act of love we can do for our pets but one we make with their best interested above all else. He had such an amazing life with you, please try and remember that and I hope that helps ease your pain. Huge hugs x
