Junior Guinea Pig
Gosh I’ve not posted here for such a long time but I used to be very active and some of you may remember me.
Sadly we had our Burt put to sleep today. He was 7 years old and had had a long and healthy life, just a bladder stone op when he was 5 and blindness and old man aches in the last 6 months. Recently he has developed a tumour and although he continued eating and drinking and playing as normal he was losing a lot of weight and was bleeding quite a lot as the tumour was pressing on his bladder.
This week he bit our daughter which he never done, and at the vet this morning he was desperate to get away from the exam so I could tell he was very uncomfortable although he’d done a good job hiding it. We are sad here but so grateful that he lived so long and had fun until the end.
Thoughts are with everyone else saying goodbye to their piggies xx
