People will think I'm daft grieving over a hamster.
I've hand fed & gave him water when he needed it.
However his quality of life had gone, so we had to put him to sleep.
Many tears.

So sorry to hear your sad news. You are not silly at all, I cried over every hampster we had and that was lots over the years. They all had little funerals in the garden. I shed a tear or two when the goldfish in the pond died too, they all had their endearing little ways and differing characters.
RIP Chewy.

I don't think you are daft for grieving over a hamster. He was your pet and member of the family and you loved him. I would think you were daft if you didn't grieve for him. I am so sorry for your loss.
