Our sweet boy crossed the rainbow bridge unexpectedly last night. I found him when i went to feed him and his brother dinner. He would have been 7 years old in August. He showed no signs that he was on his last days and i think that this is why this is so difficult for me to process.

My heart feels so raw right now -- i could never have imagined that the pain of losing him would be this deep. I feel absolutely devastated. Small paws seem to leave the biggest imprints.

Coco is survived by his own brother, Mr. Piggums (also a Cavvie) and his adopted brother, Frodo (Chihuahua-corgi cross).

I love you Coco. I hope i did right by you in this lifetime โค๐ŸŒท

So sorry for your loss.
7 is a very good age and a tribute to your love and care.
Take time to grieve and look after yourself and Mr Piggums who will also be grieving in his own way.

Sounds like he had the best of care if he made it to the grand old age of 7. I am very sorry for your loss. Popcorn free Coco x

Very sorry for your loss. Coco had a very good piggy parent and a lot of really happy years with you. It's so hard losing these little ones; they are really so precious and give so much joy. You were given so many wonderful days with this little guy. Never think to not have done enough for him in any little way. Remember how much love he felt from you and how much you added by ten-fold in this little ones' life.

RIP Coco. Warmest thoughts for you and Coco.

Oh, don't be sad! You're sweet Coco reached the age of 7! That's such a BIG achievement, you have taken care of Coco VERY well! Coco had a long, happy life with a great owner who took great care of her, she is probably proud to have a wonderful owner, and you, you are proud that you took care of a wonderful guinea pig. Remember, Coco is still in you're heart, and will be in there, forever.

Thank you, Merab's Slave, i needed to hear this ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’• my hubby and i have been keeing a close eye on Piggums -- we have slept on the couch for the past 2 nights just to monitor his behaviour -- he seems to be okay (still eating and drinking). I wasn't expecting the house to be so quiet with one little guy gone. This is all just proving to be so much more difficult than i could ever have imagined... ๐Ÿ’”

Thank you, VickiA ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’• I read your message to my husband and it made him smile -- thinking of (and remembering Coco popcorning) was bittersweet but it was a good memory and a beautiful thought. I am so grateful to you for this ๐ŸŒป

I am so grateful for this forum. Not everyone can understand or empathise with how devastating it can be to lose such a tiny pet (family member really) and i am so grateful that this space is here as one of support, healing and no judgement. Thank you all so very much for giving me this opportunity and space in which i can so openly grieve. I really feel like you are all holding me and carrying me through this. Thank you ๐Ÿ™โค
