I found Cufflinks today completely still with his eyes closed. He looked so peaceful. He was always such a relaxed guinea pig and although he was never keen on being handled he would stoically allow me to pick him up and trim his lovely long fur.

He leaves behind my sweet little lilac orange and white smooth coated Rosie.

Rosie has been munching hay and greens and seems to have come to terms with what has happened.

I will be moving house soon so not sure what the next step will be ... perhaps a foster to keep Rosie company for the rest of her day.

I’m so sorry Cufflinks has been called over the bridge. It looks like he had a peaceful passing. Popcorn high Cufflinks. Take care. ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear that Cufflinks has made his way peacefully to the Rainbow Bridge, sending big hugs

Sleep tight gorgeous boy 🌈

I’m so sorry that Cufflinks has passed to the Rainbow Bridge. It sounds like a lovely peaceful passing at home. Sleep tight, gorgeous chap x

So sorry for your loss.
What a lovely ending for gorgeous Cufflinks though.
To slip away peacefully at home, surrounded by a loving family is a real gift.
It’s a shock for you though, so take the time to grieve and be gentle with yourself.

I'm so sorry for you loss. Cufflink was loved so much by you and Rosie, popcorn free piggy ❤️

What a sad day for you and Rosie but a passing that we would all choose if we could. Thinking of you and sending hugs. Sleep well Cufflinks xx 🌈

I’m sorry Cufflinks has travelled to the RB. He was living his best life with Rose and you and your family.
I’m glad he left peacefully in his home . Take care

So sorry that Cufflinks felt it was time to toddle off to The Rainbow Bridge. He lived a happy life with you. That's all a piggy ever wants and needs.

So after chatting to a lovely volunteer and Wheek and Squeak in Bishops Waltham I decided to surrender Rosie to the rescue where she will live out her life in the company of other guinea pigs.

We dropped her off yesterday. She will be joining 2 sows and a boar. The sows are off to a new home next week but the boar and Rosie will stay. I saw where she will be living and had a look around the rescue. They do such a good job and were happy to answer questions.

I had a little cry that evening atI pellet o'clock thinking of Rosie in a strange place ...

I will ring them tomorrow to see how the bonding has gone. They have sooo many guinea pigs there. They all had plenty of hay and places to hide. It is hard though.
