I thought it would be a long time before my 3 boys became 2, but in the early hours of Monday morning, I lost Dexter, my eldest pig, the big brother of my gang.

He had been unwell for a while, his health went up and down like a rollercoaster, and he fought so hard to stay with me and his brothers, but in the end, he had to give up. Although we (me, family and vet) think it may have been a heart problem, the exact cause remains a mystery.

I miss him so much, and I never think I'll stop missing him. Gizmo and Fry have been so quiet, they know he's gone.

Dexter loved to watch people in the garden (despite my best efforts, he may have been a football fan!), and a little sun worshipper. He's buried in the sunniest, warmest spot in the flowerbed.

Dexter will be greatly missed, I hope he had a great life, I really did try my very best to make him as happy as ever.

Goodbye Dexter, you know I love you, and I'm glad you're not in pain anymore

You've left a lovely tribute to him and I'm sure he's watching from the Bridge

I'm very sorry to hear this sad news. Dexter has left you with wonderful memories to treasure. Popcorn free at the bridge beautiful boy and send piggie kisses down to yor mmmy who is missing you terribly..

I am so sorry for your loss, but I am sure that Dexter would have known how much he was loved.

Thank you so much for all the well wishes, I know I'll never stop missing my boy, but I'm sure he'll make lots of new friends on the bridge x
