Ginger Ted, you joined us as a baby and we loved you from day 1. Sadly your first friend, Barney, died a year later but the fantastic Freddie came along and you two shared a great friendship for nearly 3 years (you thought you were the boss and Freddie let you think that!)
We were all devastated when Freddie passed away in May and as we thought you were so fit and strong (and would live for many years) we attempted to bond you with another friend... it took a few attempts but a few weeks ago Mowgli joined you.
Unbeknown to us you were keeping a secret....you were not well. You only let us know last Thursday that things weren't right, the vet gave you antibiotics and we started syringe feeding things but by Friday I felt you were dying. We found a more specialised vet and sadly, although they tried to build up your strength first, you passed away whilst under anesthetic.
The vet found you had a large build up of gas, in your stomach, which was probably caused by a large tumor that was found next to your stomach.

We are so sad that you are gone but I take comfort that you are no longer suffering.

Rest in peace my gorgeous Ginger Ted - aged 4 xxxxxxx

Your message made me sad, but it sounds like little Ginger Ted was well loved and looked after, and had a nice life while he was with you. All the best. x
