Just over five years old and what a dude he was! Pistachio was aware and trying to nudge him awake in the last few minutes, we will make sure he is well supported too. We have had a burial in the garden this morning, everyone managed to get out of bed to say goodbye.

I am so sorry you had such a sad home coming, sending hugs. Cashew waited and wanted to say his goodbyes to you all and thank you for the wonderful life you gave him x

Popcorn high little man 🌈

What a handsome chap. Enjoy the Bridge, Cashew, your family will carry your memory with them ❤️ 🌈

BIG HUGS

I am so very sorry for the sad end to your holiday. The recent massive humidity has been so hard on piggies with underlying health issues.

RIP Cashew

I am so sorry you have had to say goodbye to Cashew.
Sleep tight sweet Cashew. Xx

You’re all so kind, thank you.
Pistachio has had lots of attention and seems OK. He was the submissive piggy while Cashew was the boisterous dude. I know most people look for a companion and our local rescue has single boars but we have another trip away coming up soon. Pistachio will be cared for by family, so I don’t want them having to deal with potential bonding issues. It will therefore be a few weeks until we can get him sorted, although friends have said that they have known piggies to live alone, seemingly happily.
