What can I say about you my gorgeous little old man.....
We have been through an awful lot together these last three years - the death of your brother Biscuit, the flood, relocation, disability, cowboy builders, and then, the sad death of your cage mate Fleure...and finally the whole disease thing with the rest of the herd this last year and out subsequent 5 losses....
We have hung on to (and comforted) each other through thick and thin....and sadly, the meds no longer worked, and you reached the end of your resistance this weekend and "the unknown disease" finally claimed you.
Always of a cheerful disposition, purring whenever I stroked you, right up to the final trip to the vets......so tolerant and loving....and a fighter to the end - even the final anaeasthetic wouldn;t give you the rest I wanted for you....
I will never be able to fill the void in my heart/life that is left with your passing. Of all my guineas - you were my special one. Thank you for the last 6 years plus of love, trust and happiness.
RIP my gorgeous Grommie - such a stalwart...always reminded me of Spike in Gremlins..run free at The Bridge with Fleure your little sable companion - hard to believe this pic was taken less than a year ago
