Today I woke up to find Hodgens my Guinea pig of 5 years dead and his cagemate Blitz was still grooming his fur.
Hodgens was one of the sweetest most friendly Guinea pigs I have ever known, I got him 5 years ago from a petstore and he was sickly he had skin problems like you wouldent believe and a URI but I took him home anyway and got him to my vet and he got better and for 5 years I had him and I feel so blessed because no matter what he was so amazing and even though he's gone I feel just so happy that I got to have him no matter how it ended.
So goodbye Hodgens my sweet Prince, may you rest in peace on rainbow bridge and just know that I will always love you and never forget you, hugs and kisses mom.

I am so sorry that you and Blitz have lost such a special and stunning friend in your life. Hodgens has certainly had an amazing run, thanks to your love and good care.

PS: Here are our tips on what you can do for Blitz. Grooming or nibbling a recently passed away piggy is generally a desperate attempt to wake it up again. :(

You can at least put them next to other for company through the bars right now.
