Teenage Guinea Pig
Yesterday was really great. A nice morning in the sun outside, cuddles, screeching for food just like you always do! You seemed so happy.
I came down to do her feed at 11pm and found her on her side and beginning to go cold, but still with me. We spent an hour or two saying our goodbyes and a final hug, before realising that it’ll probably be calmer and comfortable for her to be back inside the hutch. So, I simply made her a nest with carefresh inside her favourite igloo, and by morning she had passed on.
She was amazing. A super duper little piggy. For someone that was quite a sick little piggy towards the end, she had the most loud wheek! I loved her determination, and her fight at the end. Wonky foot or not, that never stopped Holly. I’m glad I was able to say my goodbyes.
In absolute pieces, but focusing on Bramble. Rest in peace Holly, you little amazing wheeker.
